Clamped the adapter in the box so the hole lined up and transfer punched marks to drill the 1/4" holes to bolt it up. |
Once the holes were drilled everything was cleaned with brake clean then Ultra Gray sealer applied to the mating surface. |

Adapter was then slipped into the air box and bolted in place. I used red loctite on the bolts to keep them from coming loose from vibration. |
Had to grind some flat areas for some of the bolt heads. As can be seen here the holes line up and the adapter is just a very slight amount smaller than the hole in the box. |

Everything fit correctly so now it is ready to install back into the ATV. |
Filter oiled and the assembly installed on the ATV. Fired up and tested and now ready to ride. |
