Different front bumper. Picture taken and School
Creek ORV Park. |
First dune trip with this machine. The Dune Slider
rear tires were terrible!! |
The group I ride with. Yamaha on both ends and
Honda's in the middle. |
Didn't like the other bumper so fitted this YFZ
450 GYTR one on there. Much better!! |
Also added YFZ 450 front shocks. |
Not long after getting the shocks, I ended up with
some Laeger +2 arms. |
Then ended up with a parts machine that had the
FMF head pipe and the Tusk nerfs. |
First dune trip with the different shocks and
arms. Quite an improvement for a budget upgrade. |
Freshly powder coated hubs, stock swing arm with billet carrier, and
wave brake rotor added Feb 2014.
New ProDesign chain slider.
New Alba Pro Elite nerf bars added Fe 2014
Other side. So far these nerfs are a nice upgrade and feel pretty
solid.
Decided to build an anti-vibe steering stem. Took a stock bent stem
and cut out the bend.
All tack welded together.
Anti-vibe cushions test fit.
Test fit in a frame to cut to length.
Finish welded together and ready to machine a bar clamp.
Billet 6061 block being drilled for bar clamp bolts.
Fit to lower clamps and ready to machine.
Machining the bottom out for indicator light boots and key switch.
Assembled on the stem to test fitment.
Back from powder coat and installed on the quad.

Thanks to Harry Hearvey. Without him this project
would not have been possible for me. Thanks to Mike Simons at MTS
Custom Coating Inc. for the great powder coat work. Thanks to Steve
Nutsch at Brooks Yamaha for all the parts needed to finish this project. Thanks to
anyone else who contributed to this. If I forgot to mention you, I didn't do it
on purpose. |
