Got ahead of myself and didn't get pictures roughing in the intake adapter. Here I milled the sides so it will clip into the air box. |
Trimming up the mating surface so it will fit in the slot in the air box. |

Here I am using a parting tool to cut a groove for the 2 5/8" x 1/4" o-ring to sit in. |
Finished and test fit the o-ring and all is good here so on to the next step. |

Cutting the inside bore to a taper to help the flow transition to the hole in the air box. |
Finished the taper so on to the next step and finished the outside for a 3" clamp on filter.. |

Drill and tap 4 1/4 x 20 holes to attach it to the air box. |

Finished outside diameter. I made the lip wider so I wouldn't have to modify the air box at all. |
